Alone and happy and soon in Warsaw
After having had some pleasant days by myself, I´m leaving tomorrow morning for five days of Warsaw. There, I´ll have an on-arrival training with about 15 other volunteers from all over POland. This is indeed a very good opportunity to get to know people in nice cities so when I want to travel during my vacation here in Poland I `ll have a place to stay.... (-:
UNfortunately german speaking people dominate this training, we´re more than halfe of the volunterrs there. Well, I´m not going alone because the two Austrian girls that arrived last monday in Lodz will attend the same training so we´re going there together. It´s funny beeing with AUstrians because they say things like eg Erdapfel (Earthapple) instead of Kartoffel (Potatoe). And they´re nice...!!!
I make exstansive use of the brittish library here and am about to finish an agent/crime story that I began to read yesterday afternoon. UNfortunately I can only take two peaces at a time so I got to be fast in order to consume more books (-:
OUr second Polish lesson was yesterday (this time in a school, the students laughed at us when we entered the office of FERSO, the environmental organisation that has a room in the school) Ferso doesn´t seem to be too popular there. Weel, we lerant how to ask for the well beeing of people and how old they were etc. In the afternoon there was an art worshop for the volunteers and mentors , each one of us made a picture on wooden bopoards with ´crackel´technic and pictures from napkins...coll thing I really like mine and I already put it up in our kitchen.
ON my way home I had to read in the tram (of course standing, cause it is always packed) and people get a little curious, I don`t think they are used to people reading in such a wabbling/shacking train.
What did I eat today???
For breakfirst my dayly oat meal (Haferflocken in german or platki owsiane in Polish) with the choise of either milk (Milch/Mleko) or ...I´m not sure about the English word..sourmilk/sweden milk?? well, it´s Mragowska, Sauermilch...
Oh and I made some very tasty tomato salad for lunch and I had spagetthi and carrot vegetables as a side for dinner...My cream had turned bad, so I had to use yoghurt, what was ok too.
Guess why I´m telling you? Cause I don`t always eat that healthy...(-;
MUSIC:
ON thursday night I went to a very good Ska concert...hmmm..it was so much fun, because people were freaking out, dancing crazy as always on such occations.There were many Erasmus students as well, because I had told my roommate Julie to come and she brang along the others. There are indeed some very nice little places that are well decorated and have lots of athmosphere here in LODZ (a lot more than there are in my German hometown Remscheid)
So here are two reasons to move to Lodz:
First, as earlyer mentioned, people don´t wear Vokuhila´s although I don´t necessarily like the very short hair that most men wear here either
Secondly, there are better pubs, cafes and clubs than in Remscheid and the neighbour cities.
I changed the setting, so that now everyone can comment on my bloggs, you don´t have to have an own blogg in blogger.com
