First Polish Lesson and first tasks

Finally, after one and a half weeks in Poland, I had my first Polish lesson. We were 6 students and one teacher. All the Volunteers that will stay in Lodz were there(3 from the FERSO Organisation, and 2 that work in a kindergarten and me from Kobiety.Lodz.pl....Merel who works with me on the same project is in Warshaw right now for an ON-arrival-training).
First we couldn't start the lesson on time becasue a key was missing. The lesson was supposed to take place in the new office of FERSO, but they obviously didn't have all the keys. In Poland are generally many locks at one door and sometimes two doors behind each other, so people need many keys!
During our lesson we learned to introduce ourselves and to give some basic info about us. Of course we have to learn this stuff till tomorrow, because then we'll have to present ourselves during our next lesson.
Yesterday, after the lesson I went to a store were they sell plants and I bought a big bush-like thing that I put on my balcony.Unfortunatley I had to take the tram to get home and during the day the trams here are pretty packed. So you can imagine me,standing on the narrow plattfrom with my bush-thing and everybody looking a little confused at me .

Work:
Before I went to buy that plant I interviewed some people on the street about German Stereotypes.Well, I still have to find 16 people who speak proper English...that's not so easy. It would be a lot easier if everyone just wore a little chart that displays their command of English. So fare I've received pretty different answers regarding the Germans. One girl for example stated that Germans wear crazy hair, short on top and long in the back. Well, I totally have to agree with her that those stupid unisex hair cuts (in German also called "Vokuhila" for VOrne LAng, HInten KUrz) are very very ugly. Fortunately they are not popular in Poland and I don't have to see them anymore.
Ok, I have to read some articles about qualitative and quantitative reasearch methods now, so you'll hear from me later
