TV instead of Polish lessons

Who would've guessed that being an European Volunteer may include getting on TV? Today I had my first encounter with television-production: kobiety.lodz.pl was invited for a group discussion on TVP3. Topic was "groups", why do we like to participate in a group, waht does it give us and so on. There were mainly young people from e.g. a student's organisation, the young socialists, scouts, greenpeace, amnesty international, the lovers of old trams ...of course I didn't understand most of teh conversations but I got some parts (something about Polish Hooligans in Germany and that the German Police was somehow more successfull than the Polish one keeping them in check). Now you wonder why they were talking about Hooligans anyway? Because they showed us a short footage about our local hooligans, let;s say "struggeling" with the police (there're two soccer teams in Lodz, one is LKS and the other one is called Widzew (RTS) and naturally they hate each other ...and the police).Well the question was if aggression was a good way of expressing one's group's emotion. Since I couldn't really follow the discussion it was a little bit boringbut the experience was nice. SO if you want to (at least) see me, watch TVP 3 on saturday...though I have no idea what time. So just watch all day long, the progeam is called "Plac Wolnosci". oh yeah and actually I should've had POlish lessons during the same time and I was not happy about missing them but I was lucky and they were cancelled.
By the way; last weekend with my sister and my mom in Warsaw was great, we saw many things and I changed my opinion about this city, it's a lot nicer than I thought it was. But most people from Lodz hate it becaus it's a place where you ha to go if you want to earn more money than in Lodz. And since it's not that far away, many people commute but that's pretty unpleasant...so the dislike.
