old fuses and nice neighbours

undefined While making my first christmas cookies this year, our electrcity broke down and everything was pitch dark. Fortunately Eliza was there because she knows the different fuses in our appartment and in the hallway. And since I am a spoiled kid from western Germany, I don't know old fuses and without her help would never have managed to opperate those things. Well first we weren't sure which one in the hallway was ours and which one our neighbour's.Thanks God the nice guy from the 2. floor came to help us and he temporarily fixed the blasted fuse somehow with a piece of wire (it turned out he studied physics so he knows wheer to connect what wherease we had no idea what he was doing). The thing was though that if this construction blasted again, we'd damage the whole electricity from the house. SO he gave us a new fuse from his parents in law's appartment (who were not there).
Since I was not done with the cookies and there was still one load to bake I unsuspecting put the plugg of the oven into the socket and *blue sparks* and DARKNESS again. So there's somehting wrong with this socket, I am not sure if I told you that we had some troubles with it before (it burned out, uups , and had to be replaced. I assume the whole electricity is not strong enough for the heavy current of our oven). We had to get new fuses so we went to Tesco (it was already 21.30 then but Tesco is open 24/7). ha, and what a good feeling, light again, computer and music (-:
It's bed time for me know, hope you had a good Nikolaus Day
